Abstract
Several complexes of the li and 4-formy'l-8-hydrox quinoline with the metal ions. Ni+, Zn2, CU2+, Cd2+, Mn2+, Mg2, Al3+, Fe3+ and MoO22+ have been synthesized. Their compositions have been charactcrised from elemental analyses and spectroscopic data. These studies may bear some relevance to the role of naturally occurring ligands in the metal ion translocation in plants.
